Holidays to Sa Coma

Sa Coma on Mallorca's east coast is a family friendly resort situated just south of the better known resort of Cala Millor. The journey from Palma Airport takes around one to one and half hours depending on the traffic. Sa Coma is popular predominately with both British and German holidaymakers. Although there's a wide choice of accommodation here from modest apartments to the latest 5 star development (the Biomar Protur Gran Hotel and Spa). The resort hasn't grown into a mass tourism destination and is best suited for anyone looking for a 'chilled out' relaxed family holiday with access to a superb sandy beach.

Sa Coma has a pleasant long promenade that runs along the seafront and connects the resort with neighbouring S'Illot via a small bridge which allows for pleasant walks or cycle rides. The typical rowdy tourist bars of the main resorts haven't made their way to Sa Coma though there are a few British bars around that serve typical British food and have Sky TV. There are a good range of restaurants and pavement cafes along the sea front.

Holidays in this region of Majorca make you spoilt for choice as far as beaches are concerned. There are some fantastic beaches in both directions along the coast from Sa Coma. Nearby Porto Cristo is home to the Caves of Drach which are one of the island's most popular tourist attractions. Car hire is something you may wish to consider as the coves along the east coast of the island are definitely worth a visit. If you don't fancy driving then take an open top bus tour or one of the boat trips from Sa Coma which show you some of the highlights of this beautiful coast.
