Your Itinerary

Day One
Fly to Athens, meet your tour manager and transfer to your centrally located four-star hotel. This evening, dine in the hotel, or perhaps head to one of the innumerable restaurants that line the winding lanes of nearby Plaka, Athens' most celebrated quarter, for a first taste of the Greek capital.
Day Two
Today's guided tour takes you up to the Athenian Acropolis - the massive rocky outcrop upon with the ruins of the Parthenon still stand. Discover the great double gatehouse (the Propylaea) the elegant Temple of Athena Nike and the mysterious Erechtheion - awe-inspiring windows into the Classical Fifth-century BC high point of Athenian civilization.
Entry to the Acropolis Museum, which houses items rescued from the monuments, is included, and nearby you'll find the great Roman theatre of Herodes Atticus, the ruins of the 17,000-seat Theatre of Dionysos, and the remains of the Temple of Zeus - once the largest temple on the Greek mainland.
Day Three
Journey, through a landscape dominated by towering Mount Parnassus, to Delphi. Once home to the ancient world's most respected oracle, the site's highlights include the remains of the Temple of Apollo, the reconstructed Treasury of the Athenians and the spectacular, 5th-century bronze Charioteer - one of Classical Greece's most priceless treasures.
Later, check in to your second hotel, where dinner will be served this evening.
Day Four
Crossing the Gulf of Corinth via the futuristic Rio-Antirrio suspension bridge, today you'll arrive on the Greek Peloponnese - once home of the mighty Mycenaean and Spartan empires - and head to your hotel near tomorrow's highlight, Olympia, in time for dinner.
Day Five
Ancient Olympia was the centre of the worship of Zeus, and home to the most important of the four Panhellenic Games, for over a thousand years. See the remains of the sacred precinct, the gymnasium and wrestling school, and the great Temple of Zeus that once overlooked the site.
Discover the workshop where Phidias built the enormous gold and ivory statue of Zeus that once sat in the temple, and enter the stadium grounds through the same arch that competitors used over 2000 years ago.
After our visit we'll head east again, to our final hotel on the outskirts of elegant Nafplio.
Day Six
Relax and enjoy the comforts of your hotel and nearby Napflio, today. The town's beach, harbour and twin Venetian fortresses beg to be explored, and the cafes and tavernas on Constitution Square are well worth a visit.
Day Seven
Spend a final day relaxing, or join our optional excursion to Epidaurus, with its stunning ancient theatre and Asklepion healing sanctuary, and magnificent Mycenae - the legendary citadel ruled by Homer's Agamemnon.
Day Eight
Return to Athens to check in for your flight back to the UK.
