Location
The popular Seaside Los Jameos Playa Hotel Lanzarote is an excellent 4 star superior hotel that resides in a huge plot of land (55,000 square metres) overlooking the wide Los Pocillos beach. Built in the architectural style of local artist Cesar Manrique the hotel blends in beautifully with other buildings found here and throughout the island of Lanzarote. This hotel has an enviable reputation and a great following amongst its many guests, many of whom return to spend their holidays here every year.
Bedrooms
The Los jameos playa's bedrooms are located in several 'houses' dotted around the grounds. The comfortable rooms all offer either a balcony or a large sun terrace with a view of either the surrounding countryside, the ocean, the pool or the garden. All rooms also come with satellite TV/radio, telephone with direct dialling, if desired a mini-bar, air conditioning and a safe (payable locally).
Suites
The spacious Junior Suites offer, in addition, a comfortable corner sofa, mini-bar, a second wash basin, bathrobes and a separate toilet. Both the Tenerife and Graciosa houses have 17 Junior Suites renovated with new high quality ceramic tiles. The hotel also has several senior suites these large and generous Suites differ from the Junior Suites in that they have an additional living room but just as the Junior Suites, they also have a mini-bar and the bathrooms have a separate toilet, a second wash basin, bathrobes and some with a bidet.
Restaurants & Bars
One of the outstanding and most often mentioned facets of a stay in the Jameos Playa is the excellent cuisine, be it the generous whole-food breakfast buffet or the themed buffets for dinner with show cooking and barbecues in the main restaurant. In the evenings guests can visit the restaurant La Tapa which offers a tempting alternative to the main restaurant. The hotel also serves a delicious afternoon tea with a choice of coffee, tea, homemade cakes, waffles, crêpes and cookies.
Sports & Entertainment
The hotels facilities include 2 freshwater pools (1 heated), spacious terrace with sun loungers, children's pool, a secluded nudist zone and a towel service. The entertainment programme is also quite varied. Whether it be shuffleboard, table tennis, miniature golf, diving courses, boccia, archery, shooting or beach volleyball, garden chess, billiards or darts you are looking for, there is no reason to be bored at the Los Jameos Playa. In addition, there are even several bridge tables available for visitors use.
For tennis enthusiasts, the Los Jameos Playa offers ideal facilities. There are four tennis courts (artificial grass with quartz sand) that are available for guest use for a fee, two of them with floodlights for night play. The renowned Peter Burwash International Tennis School offers a variety of group courses and also an opportunity for private lessons.
Other Facilities
Other facilities provided by the hotel include, laundry facilities, courtesy room for late departures, hairdresser, internet corner, shop, boutiques, library, conference rooms and a private car park.
