Holidays to Marmaris

Marmaris region has an enviable Mediterranean climate. In the summer months the weather is hot and humid, and temperatures average over 30°C but can reach over 40°C during occasional heat-waves in July and August.

Autumn is a popular time to visit when the temperatures are not so hot but the days are still warm and bright. Pine clad hillsides are the picturesque backdrop to the stunning coastline dotted with Blue Flag beaches.

This region of Turkey is serviced via Dalaman airport which is around 100 kilometres away.

Marmaris Resorts

Marmaris is the principle resort here and is unrecognisable from the sleepy fishing village it once was to the international holiday resort it is today.

Popular with the sailing fraternity there are two large marinas (one of which is the largest in Turkey) and several smaller moorings. Holiday makers return year after year to enjoy the beaches; famous for paragliding, water sports and scuba diving which is very popular in the crystal clear waters.

There is always something happening in Marmaris, day or night, it has the feel of a modern western resort with its lively beach scene and nightlife yet if you stroll into the narrow streets of the town’s Old Quarter and you will find an authentic feel of traditional Turkey. Just down the coast you will find the popular resort of Icmeler and the charming resort of Turunc.
