Holidays to Puerto Pollensa

Puerto Pollensa has an enviable range of holiday attractions; superb scenery, delightful sandy beaches and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The Tramuntana mountain range provides a stunning backdrop to the resorts sheltered horseshoe shaped bay. It is no surprise that the magic of this part of Majorca remains a firm favourite with families and couples who return to holiday here time and time again.

The resort like many on the island has developed from a fishing village. Here you can enjoy a choice of hotels and apartments many of which have been long established. In the evenings why not enjoy a stroll along the renowned Pine Walk that takes you by the stunning marina and past several quaint shops, pavement cafes and restaurants as far as one of our favourite hotels on the island, the lovely Illa d’Or Hotel.

It is no wonder that families are attracted to holiday in Puerto Pollensa with its beautiful and safe beaches. All along the sea front from the Marina up to and even beyond the Pine Walk it is pedestrianized. Parents can unwind in the sea front cafes and restaurants whilst their offspring play on the beach opposite. Although beach lovers will be in their element, the region is also popular with outdoor enthusiasts, keen walkers have plenty of areas to explore and bird watchers will amazed at the variety of species that arrive at the nearby S'Albufeira nature reserve especially during the migration seasons of spring and autumn.

The resort provides an array of interesting things to do and see. For years Pollensa and northern Majorca has been a magnet for artists and there are several galleries to be found. If you enjoy bargain hunting there are local markets here (usually morning only until around 1pm) in the resort also the town of Pollensa and nearby Alcudia and Inca. There are a variety of excursions from day trips to Palma, soller and many of the islands gems as well as the popular option of a trip on a glass bottom boat.

Holidays to Cala San Vicente

The quiet cove of Cala San Vicente is one of Majorca's smallest resorts and is the perfect destination for a blissful relaxing holiday. The small sandy beach at the end of the cove provides a wonderful spot to unwind. Add the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear waters found here and it gives you all the ingredients for those perfect summer days.

Cala San Vicente In keeping with its general quiet existence the resort hasn't much in the way of nightlife other than a couple of bars an Irish bar and a Tapas bar. Shops restaurants and nightlife can all be found in neighbouring Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa as can local markets if you fancy a little bit of souvenir hunting.

If it's not too hot the adventurous (and fit) could walk to Puerto Pollensa and catch the bus or taxi back another good hike is the Boquer Valley walk.

There is a varied excursion programme for half and full day duration including a trip to the island's capital Palma with pick ups from most major hotels.
