Witness the incredible spring flowers at Keukenhof Park, with more than seven million bulbs that spring into life every year, amongst the 32-hectares of the famous Park. Their main feature being tulips of over eight hundred different varieties! The park showcases the bulbs in an abundance of different displays, private gardens and works of art along ten miles of footpaths.
On day two we visit two of the area’s most charming destinations. We start in Harderwijk - a pretty town which is home to an attractive harbour, historic ramparts and Renaissance architecture. With over a hundred national monuments amongst the centre this town is steeped with history for you to explore. We then go to the Het Loo Palace, a former seat of Dutch royalty boasting opulent interiors and sumptuous gardens.
Day One (Holland) - Journey to your hotel from your chosen pick up point in the U.K.
Day Two (Het Loo Palace) - Have a leisurely breakfast, then we will commence on a short visit to Harderwijk. Here you can explore the town squares, shop till you drop, or choose to have a spot of lunch at one of the many outdoor top restaurants. In the afternoon we will set off for a visit to the beautiful Het Loo Palace Gardens, to discover the magnificent Palace Park, stunning Baroque Palace gardens and the regal Stable Square and Coach Houses.
Day Three (Keukenhof Park & the Dutch Bulb Fields) - Enjoy your breakfast before travel to Keukenhof Bulbfields at Lisse for a full day excursion. Here you can wander through the tulip fields and follow the waterways and streams through the stunning and unique parks.
Day Four (Journey Home) - Depart after breakfast for our journey back to the U.K. En-route to the port, time-permitting, we will visit a hypermarket or a wine/beer warehouse.
