Dublin
Dublin is reputedly one of the most youthful cities in Europe and voted the friendliest in 2007. Just to the south of the River Liffey, the area of Temple Bar is internationally known for its vibrant nightlife, over the last few years this has become the centre for stag and hen parties and attracts single fun-seekers from across the UK. City break visitors that enjoy shopping should head for the department stores in Grafton Street and chic designer outlets in Wicklow street. For the more peaceful minded amongst us, Dublin is also a treasure for literates and the artistically orientated.

One of Dublin's most famous exports is Guinness; brewed within the city and has been since 1759. Take a day out to sample this Irish Pearl or take a trip around the St James Gate Brewery locally known as the Guinness Storehouse. If you prefer Irish Whisky you can visit the Irish Whisky Corner, here you can learn all about the 'demon drink' during a tour of this disused distillery, and don't forget to visit the Ball O'Malt Bar afterwards for some indulgent whiskey tasting. It's also a great place to pick up some Irish themed gifts for those at home.

Dublin has something to offer all visitors including, museums, galleries, shops, historic sites and golf courses. Popular visitor attractions include Trinity College once the educator of the elite of Irish society, Trinity College is now open to all, See the Old Library and the Book of Kells, Dublin Castle, the centre of English oppression and misrule in Ireland for 700 years here you can see the Old Walls of Dublin, State Apartments, and the treasury, and for some more Irish history, Kilmainham Gaol, Europe's largest disused and Ireland's most famous prison.
